To redesign the Hong Kong Fusion site tackling the key issues identified in the research process, and implement a new system to split the bill
The new desktop and mobile version of the site clearly display the most important information, have a stronger sense of branding, is easier to navigate, and includes a new option to split the bill between users.
This was my first UX project and the final prototype was created using Adobe XD
Key problems identified through current site analysis
First information you see is the takeaways story (not the most important information you want to see upon entering the site)
Odd sparse layout of home page
Opening times is confusing and not scannable
There’s a tab for deliveries even though they don’t offer them any longer
The menu is an overwhelming list with no images
Can only phone to order, no online order option
Get given a vague time for collection once ordering over the phone, no way to check it’s ready
Another issue that came up when ordering food was the awkwardness of splitting the bill, and how one person would have to pay for everything and then try to chase up everyone else to pay them back for their food. I decided to also consider this problem as an extra feature for my website redesign.
