I created a microsite using Framer based on the Studio Ghibli film Spirited Away. Through the site you are able to explore the main setting of the film: The Bathhouse, delving into each room and learning about what shapes it. For the prototype I have created the homepage and one explorable room to showcase my vision, for this I chose The Boiler Room.
The Bathhouse and rooms were painted in Procreate, the initial design was created in Figma, and the final site was made with Framer.
This was a visually lead project with a focus on experimentation, so I took a different approach to the research process in comparison to previous projects. I focused on exploring ideas, delving into my subject matter, trying new software, and learning how to make my visual ideas a reality.
Through frequent user testing throughout the design process I was able to achieve my desired experience, and learn new skills along the way.
